Flashcards+ free is a tool to help students of all ages study using an old fashioned method that has been updated with the latest technology. Students are able to create their own flashcards, put cards into "stacks" depending on topic, share stacks and access those made public. Flashcards can be created using the app or online. Quizlet.com and Studyshack.com allow users to access thousands of flashcards already created on their sites. Flashcards+ free offers multiple language support. In addition, students can customize the appearance of flashcards to suit their preferences and needs. Users can change the font (choice of three), the font size, and font color ( choice of five).
In the Quizlet.com stack of flashcards, users choose from one of the following categories : Arts & Literature, Languages & Vocabulary, Math & Science, History & Geography, Standardized Tests, and Professional & Careers. Each broad category then break into anywhere from five to nine subcategories. Each sub-category then breaks down into genres ( for lack of a better term). Each genre offers many sets of flashcards.
In the StudyStack.com stack of flashcards, users choose from one of the following categories : Agriculture, Business, Geography, History, Languages, Law, Math, Medical, Miscellaneous, Science and Standardized Tests. Depending on the category, it becomes even more specific. The Language category offers quite an array of languages and literature, reading and writing strategies and devices.
Flashcards+ plus users can study by flipping through the cards or they can activate quiz mode. In quiz mode students are timed, and can skip and come back to cards of which they are unsure. User progress is evaluated throughout the quiz with check marks or "x"s.

If you choose My Cards, you will be presented with decks you have already created. If this the first time using this app: press the + button in the top right of the screen and follow directions for naming deck. When finished the app will go back to menu screen of your decks.
